Frequently Asked Questions
What constitutes an eye emergency?
If you’re experiencing any of the following symptoms, we urge you to contact us right away. Quick action will lessen the risk of severely hurting your vision. Emergency symptoms include: eye pain, eye swelling, double vision, excessive tearing, sudden blurred vision, pink eye or redness, sudden light sensitivity, flashes of light, new floaters, curtain covering part of your vision.
How often do I need an eye exam?
We recommend all children and adults receive yearly eye exams. However, if you wear contacts or glasses or are suffering from an eye disease or condition, it may be necessary to be examined more frequently.
Do you treat children?
Yes! We treat patients of all ages. We tailor our eye exams to the needs of each patient so you can rest assured your child will feel comfortable and you’ll receive the information needed to make the right decisions for your child’s eye health.
Do you prescribe contact lenses?
Absolutely! If you are interested in contact lenses an additional evaluation will be needed. Typically, we can provide you with contact lenses the same day; however, if that isn’t possible we will order a set of diagnostic lenses to finalize the fit.
If this is your first time wearing contact lenses, we will teach you how to take care of your contact lenses, insert, and remove them before taking them home. Your contact lens prescription will be released once the fit and evaluation is complete.
